Who is Goose Chase Photography?

My name is Carl Beust and I am a photographer specializing in live music photography based in Honolulu, Hawaii. I have snapped photos of a wide range of musicians across multiple genres of music, from jazz to rock, to rap to country, and everything in between. Since 2017, I have captured images of hundreds of bands in venues ranging from small clubs to large festivals. I have had the pleasure to photograph some of today's leading artists such as Pearl Jam, Kacey Musgraves, All Time Low, Mavis Staples, Brett Young, Kamasi Washington, Khruangbin, My Morning Jacket, Dolly Parton, Luke Combs, and SZA.

Besides my work in Hawaii, I earned the opportunity to work with the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival Foundation Archive. My photos have been added to the archives vast collection which reaches back to Jazz Fest's establishment in 1970. A selection of my photographs was featured in the 2023 Grammy award winning documentary “Jazz Fest: A New Orleans Story”.

 Currently I am a house photographer for BAMP Project in Honolulu, Hawaii. This has allowed me to photograph bands performing at The Republik, Waikiki Shell, Blaisdell Arena, and Blaisdell Concert Hall. I have worked directly with musicians, publicists, band management, and promoters.

Besides live music photography I can provide band portraits, promo shots, or photograph the band at various locations on Oahu. I'm available to cover events nationally and internationally.
